The Economic Development Manager supports One Dearborn's daily work to advance the Big 8 Economic Drivers identified in One Dearborn’s 2024 Strategic Investment Plan: Housing, Parks & Trails, Downtown Redevelopment, Tourism & Culture, Economic Fundamentals, People & Services, US 50 & Transportation, and Infrastructure.
This position plays a key role in responding to site selector RFIs, maintaining and expanding the county's Zoom Prospector site inventory, conducting business retention and expansion (BRE) visits, managing recurring local employer and investor communications, supporting redevelopment commission activity, coordinating economic development projects, and assisting with major initiatives such as Stellar Pathways, READI, Opportunity Zone designation, workforce development, and regional wage survey creation.
The role also includes regular interactions with local units of government, redevelopment commissions, employers, utilities, developers, regional partners, state agencies, and community stakeholders to advance business growth, investment, site readiness, and quality-of-place initiatives throughout Dearborn County.
The Economic Development Manager reports directly to the Executive Director.
