Industrial Developer

 

Summary
Serves as a sales representative, representing the economic development interests of Project Future to businesses that may or are considering expanding their business activities into the St. Joseph County area.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include management of prospect inquiries, development and use of comparative economic models, assisting in site and facility searches, and interfacing with local and state development programs. Manages the interface between Project Future and the State of Indiana’s prospect inquiry system. Participates in the design and development of marketing and sales materials. Represents community at trade shows and related activities. Some overnight travel is involved.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong sales skills. Familiarity with computers, particularly spreadsheet and database programs, is important. A bachelor’s degree or relevant experience is desired. Prior experience with an economic development organization, or experience in a sales or marketing role is a plus.

Project Future is a private not-for-profit economic development organization serving the St. Joseph County area since 1982. Its primary activities include business recruitment, business retention and expansion, entrepreneurial development, and workforce education/training development.
