The Dubois
County Area
Development
Corporation
(DCADC), located
in southwest
Indiana, seeks a
seasoned
economic
development
professional to
oversee this
public-private
entity. Founded
in 2005, DCADC
leads business
attraction,
retention and
expansion
activities on
behalf of Dubois
County. Its new
President will
oversee a
not-for-profit
corporation on
solid financial
footing, and
guide staff and
partner
organizations as
they harness the
tremendous
economic
potential of
this scenic,
entrepreneurial-minded
community.

Dubois County is

President
Responsibilities
The President
hired will be
motivated and
proactive;
seeking out new
opportunities to
grow the Dubois
County economy.
This individual
will work to
unleash the
expansion
potential of the
County’s
existing
businesses while
at the same time
pursuing outside
investment that
generates
desirable jobs
and diversifies
the economic
base. DCADC’s
President will
coordinate
efforts to
enhance Dubois
County’s
operating
climate,
including
establishing
financial tools
for business
assistance,
developing its
marketable
properties, and
furthering
workforce
development
initiatives on
its behalf. As
DCADC evolves
under the
direction of
this individual,
it will do so in
partnership with
a newly formed
regional
marketing
organization and
in tandem with
local elected
officials and
business groups
wholly committed
to Dubois
County’s
success.
Qualifications
Sought
The ideal
candidate for
President of
DCADC is
currently a
senior executive
with a
progressive
economic
development
corporation and
has the
following
qualifications:
1. Proven track
record of
economic
development
success
2. Seasoned
marketing acumen
and business
attraction
experience
3. Working
knowledge of
business
decision-making
and operating
success factors
4. Forward,
creative
thinking
5. Superior
interpersonal
and written
communication
skills
6. Bachelor’s
degree in
business or
economics
preferable, with
professional
certification
7. Working
knowledge of
Indiana and its
competitors
8. Willingness
to become a
County resident
(within six
months of
employment)
Compensation
Salary is highly
competitive and
includes a bonus
for exceptional
performance.

evaluated by

development

DCADC. The most
qualified will
be invited to
participate in
